Purpose Activates Before You Are Born

There are stories that define a person before they ever have the chance to choose them. Mine began like this: my parents, young and confused, were sitting in a clinic making a decision about my mother’s pregnancy when an unexplainable peace changed the direction of that decision. I don’t know exactly what it was — sometimes I call it grace, sometimes I call that moment the beginning of everything. But here I am.
I grew up without knowing that story. Years later, when I finally learned it, I understood something deeply: purpose does not begin when we discover it; it exists long before the discovery. There is something within you that was placed there before you entered this world, before you made your first mistake or your first right decision.
What is purpose, really?
Purpose is not a career. It is not a list of goals. It is not simply what you are good at or what makes you happy (although it can include those things). Purpose does not begin when you discover it; it begins in the original design of your life, in the intention with which you were created, exactly as you are: the specific contribution only you can make through your story, your pain, your beauty, and your unique wounds.
And the most freeing thing I have learned is that purpose is not built — it is discovered. You do not have to reinvent yourself. You have to return to the essence with which you were created.
The road back to yourself
There are people who reach their forties feeling empty despite success. There are others who may not have visible achievements and yet still feel deeply aligned and at peace. The difference is not found in accomplishments; it is found in alignment with purpose.
True alignment does not happen only when you reach goals, but when your spirit reconnects with the One who designed you with love and intention — God Himself.
ESSENTIA is the space I created to accompany that journey of discovery. Not as an expert in life — because I do not believe anyone truly is — but as someone who has walked through the process and knows there is freedom from unhealthy patterns within us, that there is peace after the questions, and that there is identity after loss.
Your story also began long before you can remember. And within it, there is a thread you can follow back to yourself. And perhaps that thread has always been guiding you back to God, to your identity, and to the essence with which you were created.
